Chikukwa
On the border between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, in a cleft between ranges of the Chimanimani Mountains, a permaculture philosophy has taken root in Chikukwa Communal Lands. Eroded gullies have become fruit orchards and Chikukwans keep food on the table even in these times of national hardship. How did they do this? Pemba produced a booklet telling the story, with photographs by Linette Frewin. (See more pix here.) The full document will be available for download soon, so please check back.

Writeshops

A group of feminists from many countries gathered for a five-day writeshop in 2005 and the result is as dynamic and compelling as the process that generated it. Women Navigate Power is published by JASS and ActionAid International. Contact Pemba to discuss a writeshop designed for your group and purposes.
